Therapy for First Responders

Virtual First Responder Therapy across Connecticut

If you’ve ever been to therapy before, you know how challenging it is to find a therapist who truly gets it. I know (having been there, done that…) being a first responder is nothing like what happens on tv.

Burnout, stress, constant fatigue, overeating, marital or relationship issues, infidelity, feeling taken for granted or being treated like ‘meat in the seat,’ the ever present ‘Ready for the next one?’….

.… Sound like you?

Being a first responder… it becomes a lifestyle. It’s easy to fall into a place of feeling like no one really understands, except your work family and the people who have come before you. It’s easy to get lost inside it, and for it to become consuming.

There’s a culture of silence surrounding first responders. All first responders experience trauma throughout their careers, and left unaddressed, this trauma becomes a lit powder keg. ‘The job’ can become consuming, to the point of looking up one day, years into your career, and realizing you’re 50lbs heavier than you were when you started, you don’t really feel a ton of compassion anymore for your patients and partners, and your relationships outside of work have fallen apart to the point that the only friends you’ve got are the people at work - because that’s the one place you actually feel understood.

I work with all first responders - but my specialty is in working with EMS and Firefighters.

I’ll help you find your way back, so you can reclaim a life you feel complete inside of.

You, as much as anyone else, deserve to have a life you’re proud of, and you deserve to live well.

Let’s get to work on that.
